- Display: 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with a resolution of 2556 x 1179 pixels ( ppi). It now features the Dynamic Island cutout instead of the traditional notch. The screen has a typical brightness of 1000 nits and a peak outdoor brightness of up to 2000 nits. The refresh rate remains a standard 60Hz.
- Processor: A16 Bionic chip. This is the same powerful processor found in the iPhone 14 Pro, offering a 6-core CPU, 5-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine.
- Camera System: It features a new dual-camera system on the back.
- Main Camera: A 48MP main sensor with an ƒ/1.6 aperture. It uses a quad-pixel sensor to produce high-resolution 24MP photos by default and enables a 2x optical-quality telephoto option.
- Ultra Wide Camera: 12MP with an ƒ/2.4 aperture.
- Front Camera: 12MP TrueDepth camera with autofocus.
- Charging Port: A significant change is the move from the Lightning port to a USB-C port for charging and data transfer. However, the data transfer speed is limited to USB 2.0.
- Battery: It offers up to 20 hours of video playback. It supports fast charging (up to 50% in about 30 minutes with a 20W adapter or higher), 15W MagSafe wireless charging, and 7.5W Qi wireless charging. Apple has also updated its battery estimates, stating the iPhone 15 can retain 80% of its original capacity after 1000 charge cycles, double the previous estimate.
- Design and Durability: It has a color-infused glass back, an aluminum design, and a Ceramic Shield front. It is rated IP68 for water and dust resistance.
